“When a bride and groom hire a wedding planner, in most cases, the couples tend to be happier.  They have more time to appreciate the engagement process, work on the aspects of the wedding that they find enjoyable… and leave the tedious tasks to the planner!  At the end of the day if the planner can eliminate stress, and save you money and time, then the wedding will be a lot more fun for everyone involved including your family, friends and chosen vendors.”

With an experienced planner, all vendors can do what they do best: the venue – food and service, DJ – music, décor – set up and take down, and the planner can ensure the bridal couple enjoys the experience and guests are informed of all items that concern them.  Also, a good planner is proactive in addressing any changes or items that come up unexpectedly.

The following aspects of the event  tend to be improved or more efficient:

  • The realistic timing of the whole day.
  • Staying within budget and providing the best experience for everyone.
  • Transition and movement of guests for different aspects throughout: ceremony, cocktails, dinner, dancing.”

“As a venue, we highly recommend our couples work with a planner or day-of coordinator as they really take the pressure off of the couple both day of and during the planning process.  Planners will ensure all aspects of a wedding are covered, from the vendors, to making sure their very detailed timelines are adhered to.  As a venue, we find that weddings where a planner are involved run very smoothly, and are rarely stressful.  Planners will put out place cards, take care of decor items, you name it.  They coordinate all vendors to make sure we’re all on the same page.  There are so many moving and intricate pieces to each wedding (no wedding is the same) but planners take all the guesswork out of the process to ensure the couple enjoys the day for what it is – the most special day of their lives!  Couples should make the most of every minute of their wedding day rather than focus on the little details.  So hire a planner to take care of the details; you won’t regret it!”

“We approach the day with a different expectation when working with an experienced wedding planner.  We know that the schedule has been well thought out and is realistic to the client and venue’s needs.  Surprises are minimal and the day flows better.  We know that the planner has connected with all vendors and everyone is on the same page.  Sometimes when there is no planner the vendors show up to the venue with no direction.  Planners know what questions the venue will need answered and it helps us plan more efficiently.”

“I think that when an event planner is involved, the schedule tends to work smoother with the proper allotted time to do things. Sometimes, when a couple isn’t sure of how long it takes to cut the cake, or take family photos, the schedule is not a realistic timeline of events.  Family photos, when organized, can take anywhere from 15 minutes to 45 minutes, depending on the size and number of the groups.  I have seen schedules that only allot 10 minutes for 20 photos.  An experienced planner can help organize the couple and keep them on task in order to stick to schedules and not move too far off schedule.  However, even your venue coordinator can assist with planning the schedule and providing the proper time things take (i.e. Cake cutting can really take 15 minutes!).”

“From a venue’s perspective, couples that choose to hire a wedding planner are never disappointed!  Wedding planners bring with them experience that most often friends and family members cannot replicate.  Wedding planners are high capacity people that have the ability to oversee the big picture while also taking care of the important “little touches” that really make a wedding special.  The main areas where we see couples benefit the most are the coordination of all the ceremony details, efficient transitions between the various aspects of the event, vendor and timeline management and, perhaps most important of all, they ensure that the couple is well taken care of and enjoys this most special occasion!”
