“There are things about every part of the day that I love, but if I have to pick just one, I’d say bride and groom photos. It goes back to the part of me that fell in love with being a photographer when I was 14. I pick where the sun is, what is in the background, the framing, lens choice, etc. I get to be 100% photographer during that time and it reminds me every wedding how much I love being a photographer.”
“Ah so many parts it is difficult to choose. I love the getting ready moments, the anticipation and the emotions running high. I have also shot countless weddings and the daddy/daughter dance still gets me every. single. time.”
“I would say that my favorite part of each couples’ wedding day is the part where I cry. Maybe I’m just a hopeless romantic, but I tear up at one point or another at just about every wedding we shoot!”
“My favorite part of a wedding is the parent dances. I almost always get a lump in my throat. I am very sentimental when it comes to parents and grandparents.”
“We LOVE when couples do the first look. Couples that go this route tend to find they can let loose a bit more than waiting to see each other for the first time in front of 100s of people. Without all those eyes on them, they are able to take a moment and really soak it in. They can hug, kiss, chat, laugh, cry….all of this without a large audience.”
“The cake, of course ( just kidding… or are we? )! We absolutely love our alone time with the couple after the ceremony. This, to us, is the most important photo-time of the whole day. This is the hour where the magic happens! These are the images that you want blown up and hung above your couch in the living room. This is the precious, intimate time amid the chaos and bustle of the wedding where you can just be together and revel in your excitement together.”
“My favorite part is when the couple recesses out of the ceremony. The look of pure joy, excitement and the anticipation of a new chapter in their life makes such a wonderful moment.”
