How to relieve wedding planning stress
Wedding planning advice from some of the best wedding planners in Winnipeg
You’re getting married!! It’s an unbelievable time, and it can come with some unbelievable stress. We asked some of the best wedding planners in Winnipeg advice on how to relieve wedding planning stress. Here’s what they shared:
“Date nights are a must. Once a month (or once a week once the wedding day is getting close) set a day aside and do something together. It’s a great way to take a break and to reconnect. A lot of times with work life and personal life, wedding planning takes over both. So it’s nice to have an evening where you don’t talk weddings or china patterns and enjoy each others company.”
“Everybody loves a wedding and Brides are always super excited to get started with the planning. However, planning a wedding can be stressful. It can easily be triggered by practical issues – like trying to interpret a tricky vendor contract or shop for bridesmaid dresses with attendants and moms — and is exacerbated by family dynamics. These are my tips to reduce planning stress: Sometimes your ‘to do’ list seems to be never-ending in your head, but then when you write it down it really isn’t that bad. As long as you have done your homework and chosen only the best suppliers you need to start trusting their expertise. They are the professionals, they know what to do. Relax and have faith that you are in good hands.
Wedding planning can be all-consuming. take a break and time for yourself and as a couple. Your wedding is about love. You are getting married! Focus on that, don’t sweat the small stuff. Hire a full-time wedding planner. No matter where you are in your wedding planning journey a skilled wedding planner will be able to step in, take over, and take all that ugly stress away.”
“Hire a wedding planner. Of course, I’m a little bit biased, but I should be, right? Make sure that you have some sort of support system whether it be a Day of Coordinator, amazing friend or family, or a Wedding Planner. You don’t want to, as a bride, running around on your wedding day doing different things. The planning might take, well will take, a lot of your time but when it comes to the wedding day you should let all that go and give it over to someone else. You should be able to just sit back and enjoy all the planning and hard work you’ve put in and now celebrate with your new spouse the future life you have together.”
