Where have you been featured?
New York Magazine Weddings, Glamour Weddings, Philadelphia Museum of Art (permanent collection, not weddings)
Why do couples love working with you?
They tell me I’m so chill and easy to work with and on the day that I’m barely noticeable after the portraits.
What do you love most about being a wedding photographer?
The total immersion of the day and knowing that what I am doing is part of something much bigger and will be seen decades later.
How did you get started?
I did photography in high school, then went to a challenging art school, Tyler School of Art at Temple University. I then worked for leading editorial, advertising and commercial photographers for years, while building my own magazine and documentary photography career. As a portrait and documentary photographer, I would occasionally do weddings of clients and through word of mouth. When photography turned digital, I found wedding photography far more open to a range of photographic styles. I no longer had to worry about running out of film, or doing shots in bw and color. At that point, I had moved to NYC and duplicated my portrait website with wedding photos and that really took off. I quickly learned to love being booked far in advance, and had one job each weekend…make an awesome book for that family to share for generations to come.
What 3 words best describe your wedding photography style?
Casual graceful moments.
What budget range do you cater to?
We cannot begin to tell you how thrilled we were with your services. The pictures are fantastic. You can always count on us for a good reference. Thank you for giving us memories to look at for the rest of our lives.
Sincerely, Jamie + Jason
We had a great experience with Peter. Our wedding photos were beautiful; we couldn’t be happier with Peter’s work. Some photographers can be heavy-handed and their presence can be annoying. Peter was exactly the opposite. During the pre-wedding shots, he was a lot of fun and made everyone enjoy what could have been a long afternoon of photos. He was clear with his instructions to our families, without being overbearing. During the wedding and reception, you’d hardly know he was there. He was everywhere and nowhere. My husband jokes that he was a ninja photographer. Peter was quick and efficient. The candid photos and the black background shots were superb. We’re very fond of Peter and we’re so happy with his work. You’d be hard-pressed to find a finer photographer in NYC.
