Why do couples love working with you?
We approach wedding planning as truly helping our couples to have their dream wedding. We have a very clear planning process that helps to reduce stress and allows our couples to actually enjoy the engagement process. We also love to pamper our brides and make planning fun! I think our professional approach makes us easy to communicate and work with.
What do you love most about being a wedding planner?
That’s an easy question – the people. I truly get to be a part of one of the happiest days of people’s lives. Being able to help make the process easier, less stressful and more fun is a joy. I love seeing our couple’s visions come to life and the smiles on their faces as they say “I do” then later as they are surrounded by all of their loved ones.
How did you get started?
I studied fashion retail in school before moving to New York City to pursue a career as a fashion publicist. I ended up working for a top boutique beauty and fashion PR agency. Half of my job was working on PR opportunities for clients, while the other half was planning big events (think fashion shows, celebrity events, and big product launches). I realized there that event planning was my passion and started exploring other types of events. After helping with a few weddings in the city, and planning mine there (in a hurricane nonetheless!), I decided to pursue opening my own company.

What budget range do you cater to?
We cater to budgets between $40-$90K but tend to see our couples spend a minimum of $300 per guest.
There are so many amazing things for me to say about Samie and the Something Perfect team! A few words that immediately come to mind are phenomenal, priceless, knowledgeable, fun, hardworking, adaptable to any situation, and of course super easy to work with on easily the most monumental day of your life!
Something Perfect sums up our experience with Samie! When first meeting Samie I knew she was the wedding planner I wanted to work with. She was friendly, vivacious, professional and extremely knowledgeable about all things wedding. She was able to take my ideas and bring them to life. I knew my wedding would turn out great but it was way more than I could have ever expected!
As we began to logistically think about planning a wedding, we thought a planner could be helpful. Little did we realize our wedding planner would end up making our process and wedding day a complete dream! We worked with Samie Roberts of Something Perfect and her excitement about our day along with her calming presence and organized execution of every task were just what we needed. We loved Samie’s warm personality from our first introduction and once we decided to work with her she continued to impress us.
