We love our couples, and the honor to be a part of their special day and life afterward.
How did you get started?
I was a secretary at a large corporate 500 company and part of my job was planning monthly special events for my team. One day after an event I was asked by a co-worker if I had a business. Hence the beginning of my business. I’ve always had a great eye for details, organization, and fun.

My husband (then fiancee) met Deb at the Carolina Bridal Fair and knew right off the bat she needed to be our wedding planner – her professionalism, organization, and pleasant demeanor was evident from the beginning. Our wedding was absolutely perfect because her hand was in everything, she handled things we never even knew about until after our event and we wouldn’t change a single thing! Our guests even noticed how wonderful she was and we happily passed her information along to everyone. There are a lot of planners out there to choose from these days, but Deb is easily the most personable and professional we’ve met; we are so happy to call her a friend now! Deb was AMAZING and I knew from the very first meeting that she was the one to help us with our special day. Throughout the process, she helped us think of things that we didn’t even think of and guided us the entire way. Her largest contribution was the fact that weeks before the wedding we had NOTHING left to do but wait. People called us the most relaxed and stress-free bride and groom they had ever seen! In the end, Deb became like family and will forever be a part of our lives.
Debbie with Events by Deb was nothing short of amazing! I started the process as a bride who thought she could do it all on her own…it wasn’t until my parents convinced me that I needed to consider a planner that we met Debbie at a bridal expo in Charlotte. And I’m so thankful for that day! Throughout the entire process, Debbie kept me on track, on time, managed those more “difficult” conversations with vendors and was truly my backbone throughout the process. I can sometimes get way into the details, so it was very helpful to have Debbie there with my calendar of due dates, and action items, keeping me focused and on track. It was also her professionalism that my family and I were blown away by. She handled any situation that came our way with such a professional demeanor.
I often told Debbie that although I know she was working with many brides and on other events, I often felt like I was her only client. And that is the level of customer service that was so invaluable to me. No matter when I called or texted her, I had 100% of her attention and time and when we met or had calls, she always gave our tasks her all. It is truly unparalleled service that I received from her.
