Why do couples love working with you?

Couples like working with our team because like any wedding planning team we are knowledgable about the industry, but more importantly, we build joy into the wedding planning experience. We serve as a trusted partner and friend through the planning process. And honestly, our team is full of rad humans.

What do you love most about being a wedding planner?

It’s truly an incredible honor to be part of such a special time in a couple’s lives. We get to create an event that is a curation of the couples love story, finding unique ways to infuse little pieces of them into a day that will live on in their memories and the memory of their family and friends for a lifetime,

How did you get started?

We have known each other since college when we met as members of the same sorority. About 6 years ago we started talking about how much we enjoyed planning our respective weddings. With our shared background in large scale event planning, Meagan in corporate and fashion events and Ashley in nonprofit and community events, we were thrilled by the level of personalization weddings allow. Finally, over happy hour, we decided to take the leap and start our own company.

It took us about two years to build enough business to leave our full-time jobs, but once we opened up space for it, our business tripled in one year. Now we employ 5 additional planners and two event assistants. Because of our large team, we can accommodate about 40 events a year and up to 3 events in a weekend.

What is your favorite part of the wedding planning process?

We love bringing in unique elements to every couples event. We do this by really getting to know each couple’s love story and listening for the small fun things that they and their guest will appreciate on their big day. If it is naming their signature drink after there dog with custom stir sticks that look like there dog silhouette, to incorporating the bride’s grandmothers pearls into her bouquet, we like to find subtle ways to make an even uniquely theirs. Honestly, our favorite part is when the planning is all done and we get to see our clients react to seeing everything come together.

What budget range do you cater to?

It’s our goal to cater to as vast a budget range as we can. We offer planners at varying levels to accommodate budgets from $35,000 to $175,000+. We believe that at the very least every couple should have someone to fine-tune the details of their day, but we love when we get to really dig into the design and create something that exceeds the vision they had in their heads.

Meagan and Ashley are not only amazing people but amazing planners – they made my dream wedding come true and on a tight budget! Throughout the whole process, anytime I had a question they were quick and super thorough in their responses. With vendors, they knew what questions to ask (and would ask things that I hadn’t even thought about). They also knew what vendors were trustworthy, good and worth your money. Having a schedule, someone to set up and tare down, someone to help get you some appetizers after the ceremony so you don’t starve while taking pictures – it was amazing to not have to think about those things, so we could just have fun and enjoy our night! I can’t thank them enough for helping me put together my dream wedding. It was the best investment I made the whole wedding. If you are thinking about hiring a planner at all (which you should) – these are your gals! Even if it is just for day-of coordination, you’ll feel the amazing impact of the YJ team.
