What types of weddings do you specialize in?

Our niche seems to be blended weddings! We’ve successfully blended many different cultural traditions to create beautiful celebrations that reflect the histories and upbringings of both parties.

Why do couples love working with you?

Our team stresses the importance of fit when we meet with a couple for the first time. We want them to know exactly what they are getting when they work with our team. We are a fun-loving bunch, and we want to make sure that our clients enjoy the planning process as much as we do! I think our couples enjoy working with us because while we have meticulous attention to detail, we also have a lot of personality and will make you laugh a whole lot.

What do you love most about being a wedding planner?

When I was a child, a family friend nicknamed me the Wise One, and my name, Alisha, means Wise Helper. I’ve always loved helping people, and I grew into a strong passion for event and design. Being there to help pave the way for the happiest day imaginable fills me with bliss.

How did you get started?

A dear friend of mine and I had started to deeply discuss our passions and we knew that we both loved weddings and events. We paired her ability to design and create beautiful paper goods and create themes and storyboarding with my innate organization and people/relationship building skills and came out with Whim!

What budget range do you cater to?

We strive to work with all budgets, though our demographic tends to be mid-high.

What typically happens at the beginning of the process when someone contacts you?

We want to sit down and chat with you about your wedding and hear all about your love story! This is your day, and we want to know what your ideas are and see where we can add value! Some couples approach us with their weddings already planned, and some couples approach us just after getting engaged. Wherever your planning is at, we want to hear about it! Once we’ve met and we have a better idea of what your needs are, we outline the packages that we offer and we give you a tutorial of our planning software.

After a year of planning every detail of our wedding, we wanted someone who could ensure that everything that we envisioned was executed perfectly. This was no easy task, as we had various small projects and only started looking for a coordinator a few weeks before the wedding! We were so thrilled to have Whim work with us and even more thrilled with the fantastic job they did. From ensuring that everything ran on time (which is not a small feat for an Indian wedding) to placing each of our personalized table settings, setting up our guestbook tree and cutting our late night food burritos in half – they truly did it all!

But more than just what a great job they did, as I’m sure many coordinators do – they were an absolute pleasure to work with. We spoke to a few other coordinators before deciding to proceed with Whim, but none of them were as warm and willing to work with us on everything as they were. They were always fun, professional and instilled confidence in us that they could get the job done. Without even having to refer them, I already have friends who have witnessed for themselves what a wonderful group they are to work with and how great they are and are making plans to work with them for their wedding.
