What types of weddings do you specialize in?

Trade Sensation Events has the largest and most culturally diverse wedding planning team in Canada. We cater to every culture and work with people from all walks of life to create weddings that are truly unique to each couple. Our diversity is not only in our Planning team; our Décor team can transform any room into a masterpiece, breathing personality, elegance, and purpose into every last detail. I constantly find myself in awe of the work that my team does. They’re truly talented and passionate about what they do. I am fortunate to have such an amazing team.

Why do couples love working with you?

I sure hope they do! My mission and vision for my business have always been to first and foremost understand the needs of the couple. Once I understand what their needs are, I can work with them to offer ideas and solutions for their big day.  The rest will fall into place.

What do you love most about being a wedding planner?

This is a tough question because there are so many aspects of being a planner that I absolutely love. If I had to pick one, I would say that the best part about my job is watching the couple fall in love with their wedding day. Whether it’s seeing their reactions to our décor work or simply watching the couple truly enjoying the moment (while we take care of the rest of course), seeing them love their big day as much as they love each other is why I do what I do. If they are happy, I know I’ve done my job.

How did you get started?

After working in the corporate sector for over 22 years and working for others, I decided to leave my career and do something I truly enjoyed and was passionate about. Something that was my very own.

I ventured into the wedding planning world, shortly after I got married. I actually hired a planner for my own wedding, which turned out to be a not so positive experience. However, after coming to terms with my own disappointment, I made a life-changing decision to never let that happen to other brides who trust and depend on wedding planners. And so I began my journey in one small tiny little office all by myself over 8 years ago, to now having built a strong wedding planning team of 16 Planners, along with an extremely talented Decor and Floral team.

What budget range do you cater to?

We work will all budgets! We are definitely a budget-friendly company we have worked with clients with budgets high and low and we do our best to work with each couples individual budget without compromising “the design look” they are trying to achieve.

What typically happens at the beginning of the process when someone contacts you?

When contact is made with a prospective client, we invite them to visit our studio for a complimentary consultation. This is important because it gives them an idea of how we operate as a business and conversely, what their needs are as a couple. Knowing that first impressions drive this business, we take the time to listen and understand each couple so that we can offer Wedding Planning and Décor ideas and solutions that are specific to them. We follow up with each couple after the consultation and continue the process from there.
