What types of weddings do you specialize in?
We don’t really specialize in any particular type of wedding but I would consider us experts in outdoor weddings. We are expanding very shortly into destination weddings, we are all hoping that becomes our specialty because we all love to travel and what would be better than doing the job you love while getting to see the world!
Why do couples love working with you?
That’s a funny question and a hard one for me to answer. I’ve never really asked a client that question so if I had to venture a guess I would have to say they love working with us because we’re real – we’re approachable, we tell it like it is, and we understand the importance of particular moments and details in the big picture. I think they also love us because our team is able to manage just about every detail of their wedding other than cook the food (no one would want me cooking them dinner) because of the way we have built our team. We have a wealth of expertise and knowledge between all of us that is hard to compete with.
What do you love most about being a wedding planner?
Couples greatly underestimate the amount of stress surrounding planning a wedding – so many decisions to make, large amounts of money are being spent, emotions of everyone involved are on overdrive and managing all the details are often way more than couples bargain for. I love making the wedding planning process so simple for our clients. I love knowing that going into their wedding day they are relaxed and excited about the big day and not worrying about logistics and details.
How did you get started?
My husband and I spent years planning fairly extensive parties for our friends. Everyone kept saying that I should be doing this for a living. I always responded with the same answer, “No one will pay me to plan parties”. Well, guess what, they do!

What typically happens at the beginning of the process when someone contacts you?
When we are contacted by a potential client the very first thing we do is take them out to dinner or for drinks or a coffee. Before talking about services and prices it is really important to us that we make sure we are the perfect fit for the client and that the client is the perfect fit for us. And we can’t determine that unless we spend some time together getting to know the couple, the vision for their wedding and what help they think they need.
I cannot express how truly amazing the ITM team was on my wedding day. It made my day run incredibly smoothly and made me completely stress-free. Julia and her staff were very approachable about any issue or concern I had before and on my wedding day. They made sure everything was addressed and nothing was forgotten. Their professionalism was noted by everyone. My day would not have been the same without them. As the bride, I was able to relax and just enjoy everything. I could not have asked for a better day, and I owe it all to ITM events.

My husband and I really benefited from having Julia and her team help out with our wedding! We got a great price renting our linens with them, and with their linen set up, everything looked great! As the wedding approached, we had lots of chats with Julia over phone and email to iron out all the details of the wedding! We ended up with a detailed wedding schedule! Julia helped us figure out the order of speeches, dances, and the processional/recessional, and she attended our rehearsal and guided us through it all. She also coordinated with all our wedding party and family to make sure everyone knew what was going on. She really went the distance here, because I heard from one of my bridesmaids that she offered to pick her up at the airport! On the big day, Julia arrived at my house to help us all stay on task. She ensured everything was delivered and set up, made sure the ceremony went well, and worked with the photographer to make sure we got the family and wedding party pictures done efficiently. She also helped out with other things that you just can’t foresee, liking making sure the stuff I forgot at my house made it to the reception! As a very organized person, I thought that I might not NEED a wedding coordinator. But one thing I didn’t realize was how absent-minded I would be on my wedding day…I was too excited and couldn’t think straight! I can’t imagine having to try to coordinate things feeling that keyed up! Luckily, I didn’t have to. I could concentrate on having fun and mingling with my guests. I’m SOOO glad we hired Julia! Honestly, the service is SOO worth it. We got so many compliments at how relaxed and smooth our wedding was…that’s because we had a coordinator!
