What types of weddings do you specialize in?
I specialize in vintage themed weddings. I have a special place in my heart for vintage decor pieces – items that have a story behind them.
Why do couples love working with you?
I think couples love to work with me because I make the overall planning experience enjoyable. You shouldn’t stress over your wedding plans – alleviating that pressure is so important to me.
What do you love most about being a wedding planner?
Being able to see my clients experience such a monumental day in their lives. The look on their faces when they see each other for the first time that day makes all the hard work worth it!
How did you get started?
I started by interning/volunteering for as many events as possible to get a lot of experience in the field. I then became a wedding and events coordinator at the Art Gallery of Hamilton before starting my own company.

What typically happens at the beginning of the process when someone contacts you?
When a new client gets in touch, I always ask for some brief information about their day to ensure we are a good fit for each other. Once given that information, we get together over coffee to discuss their day in more detail, and how my services can help make their day a smooth and enjoyable experience.
Danielle did an AMAZING job as our wedding planner/decorator. She was so organized and made sure no small detail was missed. Our venue looked even better than I had imagined and it would not have turned out as beautiful if it weren’t for Danielle – I even had the manager at our venue tell me she had never seen such a beautiful wedding. I couldn’t imagine not having Danielle’s help – on the day of our wedding I had no stress because I knew she had everything under control. From collecting our bridal suite keys to ensuring every piece of decor was in the correct spot, Danielle made sure everything was perfect. Super friendly, organized, creative and very easy to get in touch with. We highly recommend Danielle for any event!
Shaw Events did an amazing job on our wedding day. Danielle completely understood what kind of vision I wanted and was able to take all my DIY projects as well as incorporate some of her pieces (she has wonderful pieces for rent) to make my vision happen. My wedding was the spitting image of a rustic vintage natural feel. I would recommend Danielle and her services to anyone planning a special event.
Planning a wedding alone can be stressful and trying to plan it from seven hours away added that much more stress. Danielle was amazing to work with and took all that stress away. She was always prompt, reassuring and knowledgeable. Any time I had a concern, Danielle was quick to relieve my worries. Shaw Events was incredible and went above and beyond the call of duty.
