What types of weddings do you specialize in?
I specialize in classically beautiful weddings. I take whatever theme my clients dream of for their big day and ensure we make calculated décor decisions so that in 20 years from now they will still love all of the details about their wedding. I use the uniqueness of the couple and bring that out in the look and feel of the wedding so guests walk in the room knowing exactly who this wedding represents.
Why do couples love working with you?
Couples love working with me because from the moment we meet, I instill a sense of confidence and trust in them because I truly care about them and their wedding. Often times, clients tell me that when they left our initial consultation, they felt a weight lift off their shoulders. Couples love how they are able to fully enjoy the moments of their special day while the details and logistics are taken care of by me and my team. I have also been told that we make couples feel like they are our only client while planning their wedding because we are extremely attentive, caring and truly value providing impeccable service.
What do you love most about being a wedding planner?
I love being able to allow my clients to bask in the moments of their wedding day without being distracted by any logistics, details or issues that arise on the day-of. A wedding is more than likely one of the biggest, and most expensive, parties a couple will throw and I love allowing them to fully enjoy it as much as their guests.
How did you get started?
I had always dreamed about running my own wedding/event planning business but what jump-started the process for me was my fiancé. His belief in me and his own ambition made me start the business a lot earlier than I ever anticipated. In addition to my desire, I completed a post-grad event management course and worked with one of the top event decorators in Ottawa which fortified my love of weddings and events.
What budget range do you cater to?
Typically my clients are mid-high range with their budgets. I ensure that whatever budget we are working with, we make the most of each dollar we spend. Weddings are expensive and strategic spending is key.
What typically happens at the beginning of the process when someone contacts you?
When someone contacts me and we are available to help with their big day, I always meet them in person. We sit down with the couple and listen to all of their wants, needs, and desires for their wedding. We develop a plan of how we can help bring their big day to life and get it started!
I just don’t know where to start to tell you that you created the MOST PERFECT WEDDING for Danielle and Pat. So many people said that “I” did a great job and that it must have been so much work. I have told everybody, that I had a few little jobs, but that you did it all. I am so thankful that you planned Danielle and Pat’s entire wedding. I know that I couldn’t have done it, and have such respect for your incredible talent. How do you do it? You organized so many events in the month of December for your “day job”, as well as your other clients, but you always made us feel that we were the most important clients. I am blown away by your calmness, your attention to every detail, your organization skills and your lovely personality. Thank you for lending me your shoes at the end of the evening! That was beyond the call of duty. The Studio looked absolutely gorgeous last night. You did a better job of those lights than any of the pictures we gave you. It was so romantic. Your vision for the lobby was spectacular. Jackie, I could go on and on raving about the most wonderful night.
