What types of weddings do you specialize in?

Our team’s versatile style allows us to cater to various visions and aesthetics. From simple and elegant or rustic and bohemian to opulent, modern edge or completely themed, we’ve done it and we’re always looking forward to hearing what’s next.

Why do couples love working with you?

We are a boutique company and committed to a limited number of weddings each year. This allows us to maintain our hands-on approach, ensuring extra time is spent personalizing each wedding. We often hear from our couples that they feel like they are the only couple we are working with and we pride ourselves on that. You should never feel like you are going to a factory of weddings.

What do you love most about being a wedding planner?

It’s a constant challenge with a never-ending learning curve; no wedding is ever the same.

How did you get started?

I started in corporate & special events long before I even knew being a “Wedding Planner” was a real thing. I came from a small town where jobs like that didn’t exist as there was no market for it but it was a whole new world when I moved to Vancouver in 2007.

When I realized corporate event planning did not fulfill my creative side, I decided to give wedding planning a shot. I worked part-time for another wedding planning company for 2 years before realizing it is exactly what I was meant to do. I started Petite Pearl Events in 2010 and haven’t looked back since.

What budget range do you cater to?

We work with all budgets.

What typically happens at the beginning of the process when someone contacts you?

First, we determine availability by hearing various details about your wedding. Again, because we are a boutique wedding planning & design company, not only your date but the scale of your wedding depends on whether or not we can/will accommodate it. Following, an in-person consultation allows both parties to learn more about each other. If we think we’re a great fit, then we seal the deal with all that fun stuff like contracts, etc 😉

After interviewing a couple of event planners, we chose Jessica and Petite Pearl Events to plan our destination wedding in Victoria, B.C. Living in Texas, we were worried about the difficulty and stress of planning an event thousands of miles away, but Jessica made our entire process a breeze!

Jessica spent a lot of time talking to us as well as sharing Pinterest and inspiration boards with us to ensure that she truly understood what our priorities were (both budget-wise and in general) and what we were envisioning for our big day.
