What types of weddings do you specialize in?
We specialize in all weddings, we don’t discriminate. Over the years I have helped plan so many different types of weddings and I want to continue to do that. It’s fun doing something different and learning new things and working with different couples all the time. For us, it’s the connection we have with you at the initial consult, if the feeling is mutual and we know that it’s going to be an amazing working relationship for all of us then it’s meant to be.
Why do couples love working with you?
For me, it’s all about the personal connection and I know potential clients recognize that as soon as they meet me. I truly want to get to know my clients on a personal level so I can help bring their personalities and style into the overall style, feel and theme of the wedding. I also pride myself in quick response times and a flexible schedule for meetings; my clients appreciate me working around their busy schedule. I want the overall experience of planning their wedding to be fun and stress-free, I never want a client to look back and have any negative feelings about any aspect of their wedding.
What do you love most about being a wedding planner?
I love helping my clients bring their vision to life and being part of one of the happiest days in their life, it brings me so much joy to witness two people and two families come together. On top of being a part of the day itself I really love getting to know my clients and even becoming friends with them over the months leading up to their big day. It’s an exciting time and I get to work with such amazing clients, I am truly blessed.
How did you get started?
I always enjoyed being the “organizer” and “planner” for all events with family and friends, so in 2010 I completed my Event Management Certificate at Mount Royal University. After completing that course I worked with Jasmine from Reflections Weddings and Events for 5+ years as a Contractor/Consultant and I gained so much valuable experience in that time. In 2015 I decided it was time to spread my wings and start my own business, since then I haven’t looked back and couldn’t me more happy with my decision to continue in the wedding industry on my own.
What budget range do you cater to?
I have worked with all budgets and I am always happy to work with any realistic budget.
What typically happens at the beginning of the process when someone contacts you?
When you first contact me I will ask a few questions to make sure we are the right fit. If we seem to be a good fit based on those initial questions then we will meet for a consultation to go over all the wedding details. At the in-person meeting I can then get a good sense of what the couple needs assistance with and if the chemistry between myself and the couple is there. From there I quote one of our existing packages or create a custom package based on the needs of the couple. If everyone is happy and we come to an agreement, then we sign a contract together and begin planning their fabulous wedding.
Everyone may not only have just one wedding, but EVERYONE will have their first wedding. Emotions run high, pockets run deep, and ideas can become so incredibly intertwined and confusing, we all turn into totally different people! Just like I said to Kyle in our thank you speech, our most highs and lows were seen during the planning of our wedding. But we put all of our faith and trust in each other and we’re better for it. We also put our entire faith and trust in YOU. Someone we’ve never met before, someone we were referred to on the kind words of a colleague, will now be planning our entire wedding… That is a seriously tall order, for someone we’ve never met before. And for you to be as open and honest and accommodating and excited as you are during the entire process, only led us to feel perfectly confident in your ability to make our perfect day perfect. You have a gift, Monica, and that is to listen to the crazy beautiful ideas of new brides and grooms and then make that reality.

If there is one thing we would suggest to couples getting married it is to at least get a day-of planner. Monica from Picture Perfect was so helpful in the months leading up to the wedding and was fantastic on the day of. The week leading up to the wedding and the day of the wedding were stress-free and enjoyable thanks to Monica. Planning a wedding can be a very overwhelming process but Monica’s calm demeanor and helpful tips made this process very enjoyable. Thanks again Monica for all your help in making our day very memorable.

Monica was so helpful in pulling all the little details together and ensuring we didn’t forget anything! I can honestly say I don’t know what we would have done without her! It took a lot of stress off of my husband and I, and was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding! Our day of was so organized, we didn’t have to think about anything! Monica and her assistant Teal were so professional and just went above and beyond what they needed to do to make our day special!
