What types of weddings do you specialize in?
My company specializes in luxury weddings that are elegant, classy and timeless – that’s who we are, and it’s what we do best. We have clients all over the world and we will go anywhere they’d like.
Why do couples love working with you?
We genuinely care about our clients, and our company is completely dedicated to making their wedding absolutely perfect for them. We also limit the number of weddings we do in a year to ensure every client gets the highest quality of service possible. I read most often in my testimonials that it’s our keen attention to detail and customer service experience that couples love the most. Quality is the most important aspect of my business, so I make sure every wedding is the delivered at the highest possible quality.
What do you love most about being a wedding planner?
Apart from the obvious (making one of the most important days of someone’s life an absolutely beautiful & cherished celebration for them) I love getting to know my clients over the months (sometimes years!) of planning. It makes what I do feel that much more special, and my clients are my inspiration.
How did you get started?
Well, I’m lucky. I always knew I would start a business as a wedding planner since I was very young – I consider it my calling in life (no joke) and every single step of my career has been towards just that. While I was completing my Bachelor of Commerce in Entrepreneurship, and I also became certified to plan weddings, which was in 2008. After working as a florist and volunteering at weddings and events for many years, I started my company in 2011 and have been living my dream ever since.
What budget range do you cater to?
Typically mid-range to higher budgets – we specialize in high-end events and our programs are structured to take the stress off our clients and get the most out of the service.
What typically happens at the beginning of the process when someone contacts you?
Normally we start off by getting to know each other at my office – asking lots of questions, explaining the programs, and getting the full picture of the couples wedding day. I really take the time to listen to what they want, and I want to be sure that my company is a good match for that client. From there I’ll draw up a quote and service recommendation that I think would best suit the client.
We cannot thank Julianne enough for helping to make our day so special. With her on board, everything ran smoothly- she is incredibly organized and kept us on schedule with the whole planning process. Moreover, she made the planning so much fun! She was always available to chat when we needed her to be and she was more than willing to help us stick with our vision. Our day turned out to be better than we could have ever imagined – it was beautiful, it was fun, and it was stress-free… all because of Julianne. We would do it all over again if we could! We could go on and on and on about how much you did for us and how much fun we had. It was just the best! (and I keep looking at the pictures and can’t believe how beautiful that room turned out… amazing!)

From the moment we first spoke to Julianne on our initial consultation phone call, we knew we had hit the jackpot! We could feel her infectious enthusiasm and expertise all the way from Philadelphia, USA. We were planning our dream wedding at the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel from another country and had full faith in her ability to execute our “French Garden with a Philly Twist” wedding.
We decided to select the assisted wedding planning plus design services which included day of coordination – we were able to participate in the planning and give our input but her and her incredible team truly did all the intensive work. This was the best investment of our entire wedding- I don’t think we could even put a price tag on the value of her organization and attention to minute details. My husband was obsessed with Julianne’s detailed and well formatted excel spreadsheets – she was able to keep him highly engaged in the planning. Julianne was also always willing to give her professional (and very classy) opinion if we were ever stumped with a tough decision. I loved that she was so quick to follow and communicate through social media – especially Pinterest of which I created a few secret boards just for her and I to share ideas back and forth. I love her style and completely respect and appreciate her dedication and professionalism. I know she limits the number of weddings she takes on in a year but it totally felt like we were the only couple she was working with!!

Still four months after our wedding, people continuously rave about how magnificent it was. Words like “Amazing”, “Wonderful” and “Perfect” are those that are most often mentioned when thinking about a day we will never forget. These words can also be used to explain how we feel about Julianne Young Weddings and the way they handled our most special day. Julianne and her staff made our wedding not only one that would last the wedding day and evening but one that will live on as one of the most perfect events ever hosted within the Banff Springs’ Majestic St. Stephens Hall.
Every detail was planned and executed perfectly. Julianne was able to make an event full of intricate details and found a way to make it run seamlessly. Our wedding was the most amazingly wonderful day and was made perfect by being able to enjoy it with friends, family and my beautiful wife; not running around organizing. Best money spent during the wedding process by far.
